NICOLE SCHERZINGER GETS HER PAY RISE: ...BUT LEWIS HAMILTON BEGS HER TO FORGET ABOUT

X FACTOR 2013: Nicole Scherzinger causes trouble with Simon Cowell over Sharon Osbourne’s pay!



Lewis Hamilton has reportedly asked his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger to drop out of this year’s X Factor series, it has been reported.

The Formula 1 racing driver has been dating the brunette beauty for more than four years and both stars have previously admitted that very often their careers can get in the way of their relationship.

Insiders say the hunk is worried that if the Pussycat Dolls star commits to another run on the ITV show, her time will not be her own and they will be separated for much of the autumn and winter this year as a result.

Lewis has a number of important races to attend outside Britain between September and November and his career will take him to far flung destinations such as Singapore, Korea, Japan, India, Abu Dhabi, the US and Brazil, while Nicole is supposed to be in London, with her new batch of contestants.

While Hamilton is normally right behind his woman and backing her career to the end, insiders say he is worried the distance and time apart will be hard for them to cope with and he’s especially keen for her to walk away, since he knows she’s already havign second thoughts.

Nicole was a very popular member of the team in 2012, but it’s said she is torn between returning to her TV role and pressing ahead with her music career.

A source close to the couple told The Mirror:



“Nicole and Lewis have the utmost respect for one another’s careers and will go out of their way to be there on big occasions.

“But with most of the races in October, November and December outside Europe, they are genuinely going to struggle to meet up.

“Lewis has said to Nicole this is going to be an awful ­situation and ­perhaps she shouldn’t do it.



“If he thought she had her heart set on returning he wouldn’t say this but he knows she isn’t desperate to go back and thinks she would be happier if they were together.

“Nicole is also worried that she won’t see much of Lewis so it is a big factor that will deeply affect her decision.”

It was reported this month that Scherzinger demanded a huge pay rise if she was to return and asked that her £750,000 fee be doubled for 2013. Insiders say ITV bosses were so keen to win her back, that they agreed to her terms but she’s planning to release a new album and single in the autumn and while the exposure of the X Factor would certainly boost sales, her workload would be heavier than ever.

A source said: “She is a global star and has to ­promote her work ­everywhere so she’ll be forced to miss a lot of X Factor.

“To some judges this wouldn’t be a problem but Nicole isn’t like that, she gives her all to her contestants.”



A source close to Lewis said: “Lewis is extremely supportive of Nicole’s career and is thinks if she does ­decide to do the X Factor then at least she has something to occupy her while he is away racing.”

It is thought that Gary Barlow will return to the X Factor judging panel when the auditions start next month, as will long serving star Louis Walsh.

It’s believed that if Nicole does come back, Tulisa is out and her spot will be filled by Sharon Osbourne.
