Solange Knowles Upset Transportation Security Administration Searched Her Afro Wig

*On her way through the airport, Beyoncés' baby sister, Afro wig wearing Solange Knowles had an encounter with “the airport Transportation Security Administration” or as the federal government refers to them, TSA.

The singer/DJ was boarding a flight out of Miami when she was asked to remove her hairpiece to prove she wasn’t hiding any contraband under the afro.


When the singer took to Twitter to air her grievances, hilarity ensue "Lets play a little game called: "What did TSA find in Solange's Fro"?"



I'm glad the 26-year-old singer found humor in the situation, but I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I can completely understand why they'd want to search an excessively voluminous hairdo (as clearly you could potentially hide all kinds of stuff in it), but on the other, I can't help but feel a bit bad for her. It must have been a bit humiliating, not to mention unsanitary. (I'm not sure how often they change those blue gloves they wear whilst working.)

What do you think about this particular patting-down practice? Is it all in the name of safety, or a bit too invasive?
