IDRIS ELBA TAKING YEAR-LONG BREAK FROM ACTING TO FOCUS ON MUSIC CAREER

Idris Elba has announced that he will be taking a year-long break from his acting career to focus all his attention on his music project.
The 'Luther' actor, who is currently in the midst of a seven-week DJ residency at a London nightclub every Friday, has revealed that he won't be filming any movies over the next year as he wants to continue pursuing his music career.
Don't expect to see Idris Elba shooting any movies this year!
“This year I’m not going to work as an actor so I can concentrate on music. I do it from the heart, not for the money,” Idris told the Daily Mirror.
The 40-year-old actor, who goes by the music alias DRIIS, has recorded music on the side for several years and even directed and starred in the music video for Mumford & Sons' 'Lover of the Light' single.
Now that he'll be moving in music circles more frequently, it's possible that Idris is risking running into Liam Gallagher again after the pair allegedly got into a little argument this week at the NME Awards.
Beady Eye rocker Liam is reported to have spent his night at the after-party winding up guests but he picked the wrong person when he targeted Idris, who stood up to the troublemaker.
“Liam was in full rock’n’roll swagger mode,” a source told The Sun. “He bowled up to the party after midnight and made his presence felt pretty quickly.”
“He had a row with a Scottish actor called Martin Compston, mocking his accent. Then he had a few words with Idris, poking fun at his bobble hat among other things. Idris looked like he was going to flatten him — they were on completely different wavelengths,” the eyewitness continued to explain.
