SOLANGE KNOWLES: BLUE IVY AND HER COUSIN JULEZ MORE LIKE SISTER AND BROTHER

*Beyonce Knowles’s daughter Blue Ivy and her 8-year-old nephew Julez are more like than cousins, according to the boy’s mom Solange.

Bey’s 11-month-old girl spends lots of time with her elder cousin, the son of Solange and her ex-husband Daniel Smith – and have already developed a close bond.

”Blue comes over, I babysit,” Solange told New York Magazine. “Beyonce takes Julez sometimes for the weekend. Blue and Julez are going to grow up more like sister and brother than cousins.”

And it seems spending time with Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z is having an effect on Julez as he is showing signs of being an aspiring rapper.

”He loves it. It’s so scary,” said Solange.

Solange, 26, said she became closer to Beyonce, 31, following the breakdown of her marriage to Daniel Smith. The two exchanged vows at age 17 and Solange moved away from her family to live with him in Idaho. They separated when she was 21 years old.

”It was a time when you really, really need your sister” she said. “Every time there was drama and I was all the way in Idaho, it was nice to be able to call. Now it’s kind of a reversal, with her getting married and having a baby after me.”
