CHRIS BROWN DODGES JAIL BULLET ORDERED TO DO 90 DAYS ANGER MANAGEMENT

*Chris Brown just dodged another bullet. Brown and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, according to TMZ, were just in court for a progress report in the Rihanna beating case. The Probation Dept. notified the judge that Brown flew into yet another violent rage while he was in a Malibu rehab joint for anger management, and was thrown out of the facility after only 2 weeks. The Probation Dept. recommended live-in anger management rehab.
Just moments ago the singer/dancer learned his fate. He will not have to go to jail. Brown was ordered to spend 90 days at a treatment facility approved by his probation department and the city of Los Angeles.

Other than a trip to DC on Monday for court hearings connected to his criminal assault case there, he is not allowed to leave Los Angeles until those 90 days are completed.

Brown has also been ordered to complete 24 hours of community service a week, be available for random drug testing and take prescribed medication.

Chris Brown is due back in court on December 16 at 2pm.

Here’s what we reported earlier …

We’re approaching it with a grain of salt, so to speak, but there’s a possibility that Chris Brown is headed to jail according to a TMZ report.

Currently he’s at a 2pm (Pacific) court hearing which could result in him being order to serve time. If you haven’t heard, this all came about because Brown allegedly went berserk while he was in rehab and of course his prosecutors got wind of it and that’s why he’s in court.

Here’s the back story from TMZ:

Chris Brown went into a VIOLENT RAGE while in rehab earlier this month for his anger issues … TMZ has learned … throwing objects and breaking them … and we’ve learned the D.A. will use this and other incidents later today in court to make the case that he belongs in jail … NOW.

We’re told the rehab facility wanted him OUT after the incident … and that’s why he bailed after only 2 weeks.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … the L.A. County Probation Dept. is submitting information to the judge today about the incident, along with the criminal assault charge in Washington, D.C. We’re told the Probation Dept will ask the judge to order Chris into a live-in anger management program for a period of months.

Our sources say the D.A. isn’t as forgiving and will ask the judge during today’s progress hearing in the Rihanna beating case to revoke his probation and send him to jail — as early as today.

As we said, the hearing was set for 2pm (Pacific) and TMZ is there now.

We’ll update as soon as they report.
