NYC NIGHTCLUBS CLOSED AFTER CHRIS BROWN, DRAKE FIGHT
'He caused it!': Model who suffered gashed head during club melee points finger at Drake... and defends Chris BrownA model who suffered a gashed head during a nightclub brawl involving Drake and Chris Brown has spoken out about the incident.
Ingrid Gutierrez, 21, has pointed the finger of blame at Drake, claiming he sent an inflammatory note to his love rival after being sent a champagne gift, and then came to his table and started mouthing off at New York's W.i.P club on Thursday morning.
And though she did not say which side actually escalated the conflict into violence, she said it soon spiralled out of control.
Ingrid claims the incident kicked off when Drake and a group of henchmen that included rapper Meek Mill and their bodyguards came over to Brown's table, where she was sitting.
She told the New York Post: 'They got up in his face and were giving him the middle finger.
'Chris told Drake to f*** off, and the next thing I heard was smashed glass and the bottles started flying at us.'
She also revealed someone threw a punch at Brown, but it was blocked by his bodyguard Big Pat, who ended up suffering a big gash in his head during the fight.
She added: 'I didn’t see Chris act violently towards anyone.
'Chris said, "Let’s go," but there were bottles flying and I saw him get hit in the face, so I hunkered down where I was.
'Suddenly I feel this pain in my head and my friend is covering my face, trying to protect me, then everything was over.
'I’m laying bleeding on couch and we’re all freaking out.'
She said: 'I think Drake’s entourage are cowards for throwing bottles at girls.
'I’ve lost all respect for Drake. Chris Brown acted like a gentleman to all the girls there. Chris tried to protect me and my friend.'
Ironically she said the night had been going swimmingly up until that point, with Chris's entourage treating her and a friend to $2,000 bottles of Ace of Spades champagne.
Ingrid, who decided to sit with the star and his entourage despite having a boyfriend, said: 'They were all so nice. We were having such a good time.
'I was talking to my girlfriends, and I talked to Chris a little bit. I also talked to his bodyguard Big Pat. It was just small talk.'
Meanwhile it has emerged she is not the only person planning on suing the Manhattan nightclub.
A woman who claims she suffered a gash in her arm that required 12 stitches in the brawl is planning on taking legal action.
Lucy Pavlovsky 's lawyer Javier Solano told TMZ his client was in the VIP section at the time.
He claims she ducked down when the bottles started flying and did not notice her arm was cut until she was making her way out of the club.
After travelling to a nearby hospital she received a total of 12 stitches to close up two cuts on her arm, as well as a precautionary tetanus shot.
She was interviewed by NYPD officers on Friday and they were gathering evidence for a possible criminal complaint. While her lawsuit would be against the club Solano said the two singers could be included, saying: 'At this moment we are exploring all options on who will become a defendant.
'I can assure you that regardless of fame, money or stature, the people responsible will be held accountable.'
In light of the incident, the W.i.P nightclub has been shut down.
NYPD closed it down indefinitely due to various violations.
An insider told TMZ the police department's Civil Enforcement Unit had been looking into violations at the club previously and the brawl provided the opportunity to examine the violations more closely.
But it has not all been bad news for Brown, for it has emerged Rihanna met up with Chris the night after the fracas.
A source said: 'She tended to him, making sure the gash on his chin from the fight was okay.'
It had also been claimed Drake was going to be arrested over the incident after a gig in Long Island last night, but it never happened.
