KANYE WEST WEARS LEATHER GIVENCHY SKIRT AT 12-12-12 'SANDY' CONCERT
Rapper Kanye West performs at “12-12-12″ a concert benefiting The Robin Hood Relief Fund to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy presented by Clear Channel Media & Entertainment, The Madison Square Garden Company and The Weinstein Company at Madison Square Garden on December 12, 2012 in New York City
*It was a baby-boomer’s dream come true at last night’s 121212: The Concert for Sandy Relief concert in Madison Square Garden – as rock legends Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, The Who, The Rolling Stones and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd performed their classic hits of the 60s and 70s to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Offering some diversity was the presence of Alicia Keys and Kanye West on the historic bill. While Keys was well received by an audience filled with first responders from New York and New Jersey (older white guys that were clearly more excited by the rock acts)…

…West had to work a little harder to hold their attention.
And it didn’t help that he was wearing a skirt and leggings.
West pretty much performed to crickets. The crowd was considerably less enthusiastic for the rapper’s set, which featured a medley of his biggest hits. It was the skirt, however, that was the biggest takeaway from his performance. Twitter immediately exploded, with hashtags such as #Kanye’s Kilt becoming an immediate top 10 trending topic. One tweet suggested that West probably fought a 14-year-old girl for the last XL leather skirt at the Hot Topic store.
