Bobbi Kristina Plans To Change Her Name:

Rumor has it Whitney Houston‘s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is planning a name change to honor her late mother — and escape the association with her father’s name. Bobbi Kristina Brown, who was named — obviously — after father Bobby Brown, has reportedly been wanting to change her name for years.

According to a report by TMZ.com, Bobbi Kristina has been telling friends she plans to change her name. The death of her mother, Whitney Houston, is reportedly behind the decision to go forward with the name change.

Bobbi Kristina Brown allegedly would like to get rid of her first name altogether and switch to being simply “Kristina Houston” for good. The alteration would be a tribute Whitney Houston and clean her name of any flavor of her father, Bobby Brown.

Bobby Brown and his daughter have had a strained relationship since he and Whitney Houston divorced. Brown is also severely disliked by the rest of Houston’s family, who allegedly blame him for helping to lead the superstar singer down the path to drug and alcohol abuse.

“I’m able to look at life in a whole different way,” Ray J said.

He then looked down at a smartphone and said, “I always look at my phone because I’ve got a picture of somebody that I really love and it helps me through the day.”

Ray J, who was joined by his parents Sonja and Willie Norwood, did not take questions from reporters.
