RIHANNA, CHRIS BROWN REUNITE WITH NOT ONE, BUT TWO SONGS

Wow... While the entirety of the music media world was wringing their hands about Chris Brown appearing on Rihanna's remix of "Birthday Cake," the two former — or current (we're so very confused at this point, please just tell us what is going on, please) — lovers were busy hatching not just one song but two.

Not only is Brown lustily serenading Rihanna on "Cake" but she appears on a new version of his song "Turn Up the Music," complete with giggles at the end — presumably because they were having such a great time sending completely insane, mixed messages to anyone listening.

"Birthday Cake": This is the song that will really get people talking — and not in a good way.

Brown makes far from a subtle entrance, declaring his intents from the first line. As a mere collection of sounds and beats, it's provocative and exciting.

As a message to any thinking person who's been following their case, it's very confusing. Is this a true sign of romantic reunion or simply two pop stars who are willing to milk their domestic abuse past for more fame and/or notoriety?

(And just in time for Rihanna’s 24th birthday, too.) Both RiRi and Brown tweeted out links to their new song, and though they were almost immediately taken down, we’ve got the audio below.

Though Brown appears on this leaked version of the song, it’s possible that the track (which now clocks in at 3:40, nearly triple the length of the cut on Talk That Talk) may never see single status, as Roc Nation is reportedly getting cold feet about releasing the song due to all the controversy.

Rihanna feat. Chris Brown – “Birthday Cake” (Remix)

Chris spends most of his verse repeating most of Rihanna’s lyrics, though he opens with: “Girl, I wanna f*@k you right now / Been a long time, I been missing your body.” Yes, he’s referring to the same body that he violently assaulted three years ago.

Chris and Rihanna also collaborated on a remix to Brown’s single “Turn Up The Music” (listen to it here). No word on whether that version will be released as an official single or download, either.

We’ll save our own thoughts on the song for later — but first, you tell us what you think of Chris Brown and Rihanna’s collaboration on Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below.

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!! from Mechanical Dummy on Vimeo.

"Turn Up the Music"
: By far the safer track. So safe I can't really think of anything more to say about it, other than it sounds like reconstituted Kylie Minogue. Listen after the jump:

Glad these two crazy kids are back together at last?

Rihanna, Chris Brown reunite with not one, but two songs
