*Kanye West’s ex Amber Rose is ready to jump the broom with rapper Wiz Khalifa – but not until the busy couple can find time to be together for longer than a few days.

Amber says she knows Khalifa is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with, but they live such separate lives at the moment that just finding time to be together is a challenge.

“We are very much in love and we’re really, really busy,” she tells Billboard.com. “He is in L.A. working on his album. I’m in New York working on my album. We travel a lot, separately.

“We do want to get married and will get married, but we want to get married, enjoy each other, have babies and be able to take time off. We’ll get married when things calm down a little bit.”

And it appears her rapper beau is just as ready to exchange vows, insisting a wedding is definitely “gonna happen,”

He tells Hollyscoop.com, “We’re gonna get married when the time is right, we’re enjoying each other, just having fun. Her music career is taking off. I would hate to stunt that, it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen.”

Jason Derulo’s girlfriend Jordin Sparks is helping to nurse him back to health after he fractured his neck in a dancing mishap.

Fnally confirming their relationship to People magazine,

*Jason said: “We are together. She lives in Phoenix and she comes [to Miami] and takes care of me, brings me breakfast in bed and she’ll go on walks with me. We’ve gotten closer because of my accident. It’s awesome to have someone you can talk to and she’s a wonderful person.”

Derulo, 23, was injured three weeks ago when he accidentally landed on his head while dancing, snapping a vertebrae.

“It was shocking because I’ve never broken a bone or anything,” he told People. “I’m taking it one day at a time. It’s been really eye opening. It’s given me a chance to look at everything and realize how blessed I truly am.

Simon Cowell has outgrown looking for the next America Idol. Instead, he is now in search for the world’s greatest DJ

X-Factor's Simon Cowel has teamed up with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith to help find him/her.

*Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment is partnering with the Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television to continue developing the new show, which has been in the works for over a year.

“We have been working on this show for over a year and we wanted to partner with the right people,” said Cowell via a statement, according to Deadline.com.”

As soon as I met Jada and Miguel from Overbrook, I knew they would be our ideal partners. DJ’s are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show.”

Pinkett-Smith is equally excited, stating, “This show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent. I am happy to be creating it alongside Simon Cowell.”

Cowell has a remarkable track record when it comes to talent search shows and the success of American Idol, X Factor and America’s Got Talent should give a clear indication of the new show’s future.

The program has yet to be given a name or premiere date,

but will air in both the US and the UK.

Drake wants to play US President Barack Obama in a film

Drake apparently has White House aspirations. The rapper has revealed that he dreams of playing President Obama in a biopic.

"I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could play him.

That's the goal," the rapper told VH1 News at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week.

Drake, who has acting experience from his days on the Canadian teen drama "Degrassi: The Next Generation," says that he is already prepping for the role.

"I watch all the addresses," he says. "Any time I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice.

Rapper Drake believes he has the skills and looks to play Barack Obama in a movie.

The rapper does bear a strong resemblance to Obama.

Apparently, Drake is hoping to revive his acting career while continuing as a musician.

Should he ever be offered a chance to play Obama, Drake might want to take notes from Fred Armisen, who impersonates the president on "Saturday Night Live."

Armisen told Page Six that the key to playing the commander in chief is in "the way he blinks." The comedian elaborates, "Sometimes he’ll keep his eyes closed a millisecond longer than other people."

The Canadian believes that if a script was presented to him, he'd be more than ready for the job.

"If you ask anyone who knows me, I'm pretty good at impressions," the 25-year-old claimed.

Drake also revealed that he is currently writing his own script, adding: "I've been reading scripts for a while.

I want to do something great. I want to do something for my culture: the younger people who are still in tune with everything going on. I'm actually writing with my friends right now."

Etta James Passes Away at 73

Legendary soul singer Etta James passed away after a lengthy struggle with leukemia. She was 73.

*Etta James died Friday in Riverside, California after struggling through many health issues.

James has been struggling with kidney failure, dementia, and leukemia. She has been hospitalized since mid-December and on December 23rd was placed on a respirator.

James’ musical career had been put on hold in early 2010 when it was announced that she was suffering with Alzheimer’s disease. She officially announced she was retiring from music just before the release of her final studio album on October 25th.

James was definitely a huge influence on some of the great vocalists we love, like Christina Aguilera, and we will continue to hear her songs forever. Her most popular song, “At Last,” has been performed countless times on American Idol and covered by so many popular artists today.

Etta James was a true soul icon and her music will live on forever.

RIP Etta James.

*The George Lucas directed film 'Red Tails,' starring Ne-Yo, Terrence Howard, Method Man, Cuba Gooding Jr. and more, has exceeded expectations at the weekend box office.

Following a strong 'A' from Cinema Score, the film, chronicling the Tuskegee Airmen, brought in $19.1 million according to figures released Sunday morning.

Stronger than expected, the total gives 'Red Tails' a no.2 debut at the weekend box office. That makes the gamble Lucas took, bringing the film to the big screen, one worth taking.

As widely reported, Lucas (Star Wars) funded the film with an all-African-American-cast on his own dime, putting $58 million alone into production. He then spent another $35 million to distribute 'Red Tails,' despite facing opposition from Hollywood.

Red Tails has received support from celebrities, beyond those starring in the film, throughout the weekend. Among them, Kelly Rowland and Snoop Dogg telling their followers on Twitter to support the movie. Earlier in the week, Tyler Perry championed the film also, penning an open letter.

"For him to believe so strongly in this story is amazing," Perry said of Lucas. "I think we should pull together and get behind this movie. I really do! Not just African Americans, but all of us. I have seen the movie and screened it here in Atlanta. I loved it and I think you will too. The Tuskegee Airmen, who were at the screening, were so happy that somebody is telling a small part of their story. Please take your kids, you will enjoy it and so will they. There is a lot of action and adventure and also a great history lesson to be learned."

Ne-Yo also reached out Friday, gifting 200 tickets to see Red Tails in New York.

*Beyonce is back under the microscope after giving birth to Blue Ivy.

A new photo of the superstar is featured on her website and on promotional ads for her latest album that captures Bey with a lighter, brighter skin tone.

At first glance you could mistake her for a lightly airbrushed white skinned Victoria’s Secret model. But then with a closer look you notice it’s actually the singer.

With the blonde hair and beaming camera lights, it’s hard to tell the woman is Black.

Critics all over the net and in the press are questioning the singer’s motives, as her image has slowly began to fade into white. Some say the whitewashing of her images is sending a damaging message to the world, but most importantly to Black youth.

Anthony Blades, founder of race blog, ThisIsYourConscious.com, is confused about Bey’s purpose.
“It’s like, Again? Are we here again? I think in a lot of ways shes culpable because there’s history there,” he writes. “She’s not saying explicitly you have to lighten your skin, but it does carry that inherent message.”
But this isn’t the first time the singer has received such strong criticism from her Black observers.

It seems that her image over the years have progressively become lighter and blonder.

Reports of a Rihanna-Chris Brown reunion just keep on rolling in.

*According to TMZ, the pair, who split in 2009 after Chris assaulted his then girlfriend, both partied at West Hollywood club, Greystone Manor, last night, fuelling rumours they're back together.

Tweeters reported that the pair had no contact with each other during the night, and they left the venue separately…but still, gossipers will gossip, especially seeing the last we heard was that RiRi had been secretly visiting her ex.

Chris' rep has denied the former couple are reuniting, saying that the rapper was at the club with his 'aspiring model' girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.

According to the rep, Chris and RiRi are 'just friends'...but the "With You"singer has moved on from his former flame with aspiring model Karrueche Tran, who was also at the club.

As the pair's tangled web expands to include new significant others, so does the drama. According to Media Takeout, Chris' new girlfriend and Rihanna confronted one another at the nightclub and things got heated before the "Man Down" singer's bodyguards separated the pair.

Karrueche is reportedly upset that Rihanna's male counterpart in her "We Found Love" music video bears a striking resemblance to Chris Brown and Rihanna was less than enthusiastic when a video of Karrueche making fun of her Barbados accent surfaced.

While Brown is speaking out against the report, instead of responding to the rumors, Rihanna has been posting a series of vacation photos on her Twitter. In them, she’s seen posing on the beach in her bikini, hanging with her friends on a surfboard and working out on a treadmill.

Rihanna has also been focusing on the positive, which includes another week at the top of the charts for her Calvin Harris-produced track, “We Found Love.” As previously reported, she’s also set to perform with Coldplay at the Grammy Awards on February 12. *Popular satellite radio hub Sirius XM must know something the rest of us don't, because they've offered to donate $250,000 to the charity of Khloe's choice if she agrees to take a paternity test to prove if Robert Kardashian, OJ Simpson's late defense attorney, is truly her dad.

On Tuesday, Sirius personality Gregg "Opie" Hughes, of The Opie & Anthony Show, announced that he has a quarter of a million dollars with Khloe's name on it if she agrees to offer up her cheeks for a DNA test that will prove her true parentage once and for all.

For celeb gawkers who haven't been keeping up with their Kardashian gossip, last week, the basketball wife made headlines for a very different reason. Two of Robert Kardashian's ex-wives tittle tattled to Star magazine that Khloe was not the daughter of Robert Kardashian, but the product of an affair momager Kris Jenner had during her first marriage.

"Robert did question the fact that Khloe was his. Any normal man would if they knew their wife had cheated on him," Robert's widow, Ellen Kardashian, told the tabloid. "He never would have considered a DNA test. He loved her very much."

In her 2011 memoir, Kris admits she had an affair with a man called "Ryan," which ended her marriage to Robert in 1990. A Hollywood animator by the name of Todd Waterman has since come forward claiming he's the "Ryan" Kris hooked up with.

"It was scandalous, we dated for a year and a half," he told Star.
Kris wrote in her memoir, "I would tell Robert I was going out to lunch and I would end up at Ryan's apartment having crazy, fabulous sex for hours in the middle of the day. I would drop Kourtney, Kimberly and Khloe off at school and rush straight to Ryan."

The Kardashians have called the paternity scandal "ridiculous."
Khloe has not responded to Opie's DNA offer. But several of Khloe's good friends are reportedly urging the socialite to undergo genetic testing.

"It will just make this story go away -- permanently," said one Kardashian honcho told The Chicago Sun-Times.

If Kris and Khloe decide to file suit over the Star story, DNA testing will likely be demanded by attorneys representing the tabloid.

Blue Ivy Carter Is the Youngest Person Ever on the Billboard Charts

Although she was only five days old, Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of music icons Jay-Z and Beyoncé, is already making and breaking records. The newborn just bested Stevie Wonder’s daughter as the youngest person to ever appear on the Billboard music charts.

While the baby was undoubtedly destined for musical greatness (or at least Willow Smith levels of talent), making the charts as an infant is quite a feat. Proud papa Jay-Z recorded and released his track “Glory” less than 48 hours after his daughter’s birth.

The song features baby Blue Ivy cooing and crying from the cradle, which is why she is credited on the song. The album debuted on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop song charts at no. 74, officially making B.I.C. — as she’s credited on the song — the youngest person ever to make the charts, according to Billboard.

The title was formerly held by Stevie Wonder’s daughter, Aisha. Wonder wrote “Isn’t She Lovely” for his then-newborn girl. The track also featured the little girl’s coos and breaths, but did not credit her for her contributions to the song.

When the oversight was rectified and the song hit the charts, Aisha was already two years old. So Blue Ivy reigns supreme, as NewsFeed is sure she will continue to do as she grows up.

Was Khloe Kardashian's paternity revealed in her mother, Kris Jenner's latest book Kris Jenner... and All Things Kardashian?

Apparently, Jenner wrote about a lengthy affair which led to Robert Kardashian Sr. divorcing her.

And, that very affair may hold the identity of Khloe Kardashian's true father.

There's a timeline issue but the fact that Jenner never explains how long her affair lasted or when it started

has many wondering if her lover is Khloe's true father.

Jenner wrote, "One minute I was making brownies for my friends and having a family barbecue, the next I was in the middle of an insanely intense affair...

I would tell Robert I was going out to lunch and I would end up at Ryan's apartment having crazy, fabulous sex , for hours in the middle of the day.

I would drop Kourtney, Kimberly, and Khloe off at school and rush straight to Ryan. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Ryan, Ryan, Ryan, Ryan."

Khloe acknowledges that she seemed different from her sisters due to her different shape, tall height, and look.

Kris Humphries 'can't wait for truth about Kim Kardashian to come out'

Kris Humphries has hinted that there is more the public needs to know about his relationship with Kim Kardashian.

*The NBA star and Kardashian announced their divorce in October 2011, after only 72 days of marriage.

Humphries, who signed a prenuptial agreement which bars him from speaking out on the details of his union with Kardashian, tweeted on Sunday night that the "truth" about what happened between the pair has yet to be revealed.

"I can't wait for the truth to come out! People will be surprised or maybe they won't. #FCC" he wrote.

The tweet came as the latest episode of Kardashian's reality series Kim & Kourtney Take New York was airing. The episode marked the beginning of the dissolution of the pair's relationship on-screen.

According to the Huffington Post.*After a January 8th episode of “Kim and Kourtney take New York,” the first episode was aired of Kim mentioning issues with Kris was on display.
Kim Kardashian told her mother while she was on vacation she didn’t feel the marriage was going well.”There’s something in my relationship that I just feel like isn’t right,” she said. “Married life just isn’t what I thought it would be with him.”

It will be interesting to see what truth Kris Humphries is alluding to.

Humphries filed for an annulment of the marriage on grounds of fraud in November.

*Halle Berry has not given up on finding her Prince Charming as it appears the 45-year-old actress and French actor Olivier Martinez are engaged to be married.

A source has confirmed the happy news to Us Weekly magazine and Halle, who despite her two previous marital failures has said 'he's a keeper.'

Martinez, 46, reportedly proposed with an emerald-and-diamond ring from Gurhan which the Catwoman actress has been seen sporting recently.

The actress was first pictured with a ring on her wedding finger as early as December 29, leading to speculation that Martinez planned a Christmas proposal.

The attractive couple first met while working opposite one another on the film Dark Tide; they soon emerged as a hot new couple in the autumn of 2010.

A source told Beyoncé's hometown newspaper Houston Chronicle that 'mother and baby are doing fine'.

The baby's middle name Ivy may be in reference to Beyoncé and Jay-Z's love of the number 4. They married on April 4, 2008, Beyoncé's latest album is called 4 and the couple have matching tattoos of the roman numeral for 4 - IV - on their wedding fingers.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z were also born on September 4 and December 4 respectively.

Regarding Blue, Jay-Z has a trilogy of albums with the word in the title. The Blueprint was released in 2001 around the time he got together with Beyoncé, The Blueprint2: The Gift & The Curse came out in 2002 and The Blueprint 3 in 2009.

Despite initial confusion the baby was named Ivy Blue, E! reporter Ken Baker later clarified friends of the couple have confirmed the newborn was actually called Blue Ivy.

But this time, according to the Huffington Post, it may be for real; the couple is said be be going in different directions.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which InTouch magazine reported were going their separate ways in August of last year, is now saying that Jada has hired prominent divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who’s represented the likes of Maria Shriver and Britney Spears, to name a few.

When InTouch first reported the story in August, the couple responded quickly in a statement shutting down the report.

“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”

Rapper 50 Cent wants fans to listen up — but this time, it’s not to his music.

Fiddy used his Twitter account to express a few depressing sentiments Monday, adding that he has become disillusioned by the politics of the music industry.

“I'll be honest I don’t think I'm gonna live much longer,” he wrote, later adding that “to be conscious that life is short is not suicidal.

“I'm good if I die tonight. I’ve taken care of the people who took care of me when I couldn't take care (of) myself.”

The rapper, 36, has famously had problems with his record label, Interscope, in the past.
He explained that he was disappointed in how things ended between him and the label, and that disappointment played a large part in his depression.

“I have lost all the faith in the team I'm on,” he wrote. “I have nothing left to say. I will not be promoting my music.

Dr. Elaine James—who is not related to the 73-year-old Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer but has been providing the singer with around-the-clock care at the latter’s home—told SoCal’s Riverside Press-Enterprise that medical experts informed the performer two weeks ago that her chronic leukemia, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, was incurable.

“I am Southern and Christian and would just ask for the prayers of her fans and friends,” the physician, who hails from South Carolina, told the newspaper following a court hearing regarding James’ $1 million estate.

The doctor says she wanted to go public to let James’ fans know the severity of her condition.

“They know she’s been sick, but not how sick,” she said.

James is barely able to communicate at this point, the physician added.

The probate proceeding in Riverside Superior Court was being held to determine whether legal authority over James’ affairs should be transferred from husband Artis Mills to her son, Donto James, who’s expressed concerns over his mother’s treatment and care.

Another hearing is set for Monday, but a settlement is reportedly in the works.

It'll also offers passengers food, aerobics classes and pampering treatments.

Earlier this summer the R&B star vowed he would return after he recovered from emergency throat surger in mid-July to have an abscess on one of his tonsils removed.

"I want to say thanks to all the prayer warriors out there for supporting me. And praying for me," he told fans at the time.

R. Kelly is known for tracks like Vibe, I Believe I Can Fly and Ignition.

The three-time Grammy award winner has also written tracks for a host of artists including Michael & Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Usher and Britney Spears.

The singer will be wooing ladies probably right out of their bikinis while on the ocean to who knows where. (Can we say that?!)

Chris Brown’s latest single “Strip” which features Kevin McCall, has turned in to a smash hit and it was about time Chris released the new, official video for it.

With a title which involves shedding some clothes… we would expect nothing short of gorgeous women and luxurious parties, so it was no surprise that even if the winter holidays are coming and people are waiting for snow and good old fashioned fun… Chris is playing some games of his own which involve ladies in bikinis and jacuzzi parties.

Well… despite the not so sober atmosphere, we get to see Chris Brown wearing a pretty festive sweater and amongst the ladies in swim suits, we also get to see a lit Christmas tree, somewhere nearby, so we can’t exactly say that Breezy isn’t caught up in the holiday cheer.

The new video was directed by Colin Tilley and it takes us to the mountain tops where we get to see CB singing his song while wearing shorts (not very appropriate for where he’s at, but he pulled it off).

The new single titled “Strip” serves as the lead single off Breezy’s upcoming album, “Fortune”, a sequel to his 2011-released “F.A.M.E.” The new album is set for release in March 2012 via RCA Records, one year after his previous LP was released.

The first trailer for next summer’s “Men in Black 3″ reveals that a lot of time traveling is going on.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back as Agents J and K, running around after all kinds of aliens on the loose in New York City.

But this time, Smith’s Agent J travels back in time to the 1960s, where he encounters a much younger version of his partner, played in the past by Josh Brolin.

Viewers may also find themselves time traveling a bit, as “Men in Black 3″ is scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend of 2012, almost 10 years after the previous film, “Men in Black 2.” Can Smith, Jones and returning director Barry Sonnenfeld recapture the magic spark that made the MiBs so cool back in the Clinton era?

The third film in the franchise experienced a number of delays, including a one-month delay for the start of shooting in late 2010 to deal with reported script troubles and another lengthy two month mid-production break in early 2011.

*Yes, the singer announced on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he intends to compete on “Dancing With The Stars.”

The US version of BBC One's “Strictly Come Dancing” and show off his dance moves on television.

When Ellen asked him, “Is there any truth to the rumor? Are you thinking about doing ‘Dancing With the Stars’?” he responded, “I’m losing weight.

When I get to where I feel like I’m gonna look good enough for what I wanna do, I’ll do that.” He did consider joining back in 2008.

Paris Jackson is “following her father into show business.

The 13-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson will star in the upcoming Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys,

a mixed live-action and animation movie, as a girl who survives being brainwashed by a jellyfish queen in the ocean.

Filming begins in January. Three Keys is first in a series of five Lundon O’Malley movies to which she’s committed, producer Stephen Sobisky tells PEOPLE.

“She wants to be an actress,” says Sobisky. “She wants to take on her dad’s legacy and do something good for the world and our product does that.”

It will feature the budding star as the "human character" alongside Larry King as King Pom and Joey Fatone as Paco the starfish.

According to the trailer on the movie's website, the plot will be about how "ancient sea-magic turns a dolphin into a human, an evil spell changes a teenage boy into a dragonfly and a once good and loving jellyfish queen becomes an evil fairy godmother".

He says that half the profits from the movie and book versions of the story, featuring Paris on the cover, will be donated to schools.”

Ice Cube’s production company has confirmed it is developing a fourth “Friday” movie, and are looking to reunite the original cast.

If this comes together as planned, the sequel will feature Chris Tucker, Tiny Lister, Nia Long, John Witherspoon, Anna Maria Horsford and Regina King.

FROM small screen to silver screen – the future is looking X-tremely bright for Misha B.

Misha B, (aka Misha Bryan), may have got the boot from X Factor semi-final but the teenager from Manchester has landed a dream Hollywood role.

The 19-year-old singer has been approached by Oscar-nominated director Tim Burton, 53, to star in his next movie.

As well as agreeing to sing on the soundtrack to the Walt Disney-backed film Frankenweenie, which is due out next autumn, Misha B has also been offered a cameo voiceover role.

American director Tim – dating Helena Bonham-Carter – and whose blockbusters include Batman, Planet of the Apes and Alice in Wonderland, approached the young rapper on Wednesday.

He spotted the X Factor crew at the Metropolis studios in west London, where the remaining four artists – Amelia Lily, Marcus, Little Mix and Misha – were recording their versions of the winner’s song.

Wasting no time, Tim went up to the producer and asked to be allowed to speak to the teenager.

I’m told: “Tim was at the studios for work when he spotted Misha. He’s a huge fan of hers and spoke to a producer, requesting an audience with the singer.

“The pair spoke for around 15 minutes, with Tim outlining his plans for Misha, and asking whether she would be interested in recording a track.

Misha was blown away and hugely flattered. She agreed immediately and the pair swapped management details.

That will undoubtedly prove some consolation to the young star after being eliminated from Sunday night’s show.

And on the subject of X Factor, Saturday night ITV released details of their all-singing, all-dancing, all-star finale.

The show features performances from Coldplay, Leona Lewis, Michael Buble, JLS also One Direction and, for the first time, was filmed at Wembley Arena.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said: “We’re all big X Factor fans, so we’re very excited to play live on the show.”

It looks like the pressures of a ten month, 101 date world tour is taking its toll on Rihanna.

The singer turned to her mentor, Beyonce after suffering a meltdown just hours before a show in Dublin at the weekend.

A tearful Ri-Ri put in a call to Beyoncé who managed to talk the singer round and the show went ahead as planned.

A source said: "She was feeling pretty low.

"It's a mix of exhaustion and stress. She's been partying hard to take her mind off things, but there are days when she wakes up and doesn't even know where she is because of the travelling.

"It's no wonder she is feeling down."

Rihanna was forced to cancel two shows in Sweden earlier this month because of exhaustion. There were also reports that doctors had told her to stop partying between shows.

The singer – who is currently at the top of the UK singles and album charts - took to Twitter after the Dublin gig to say she felt 'light headed'.

Let's hope she manages to put her feet up for a well-earned rest when the tour comes to an end in London next month.

Maintaining a good relationship isn’t easy for her either. Although it appears she has a very party-like lifestyle, she says it’s all work and little personal life.

“Let me say this right, because I don’t want to make it seem like, my work is my everything. I do put a lot into my job. Most of my time if not all of it. It definitely affects my personal life.

“My personal life is pretty much non-existent. Which is not good, not for the long run. Not for me, not for ‘her’,” Rihanna said as she pointed in-between her legs. “That’s why I stay on Twitter a lot. So I can [converse] with my fans. Because I don’t get any booty calls.”

The “No Scrubs” songstress’ accrued debt — totaling $768,642.99, to be exact — stems primarily from the mortgage on her $1.2 million home, insufficient monthly income and $250,000 in child support still owed to Watkins, who has a daughter with rapper Mack 10.

The four-time Grammy winner attempted unsuccessfully to file for bankruptcy protection in February, and has famously recounted her monetary woes of the mid-’90s on VH1 Behind The Music, on how a multiplatinum-selling artist can go broke.

This latest financial strife is yet another rough patch for the R&B pioneer, who publicly battled sickle-cell anemia at the height of Crazy, Sexy, Cool’s popularity and, as she revealed to People in 2009, a hard-fought potentially fatal brain tumor.

“The Hangover’s” Bradley Cooper topped the list, but Idris Elba isn’t salty about it. He knows he’s sexy.
The actor told the magazine that his greatest asset is his pearly whites.

The singer has not seen her father, Christopher Lovett, since she was 7years-old,

after her mother walked out on him when he turned to alcohol after losing his job,

but now she thinks it is important to “forgive” him.

Speaking on the UK version of ‘The X Factor’, which aired this weekend, Kelly says: “It’s really important just to forgive my father.

I want to meet him this Christmas, because now is the time, because tomorrow’s not promised to us.”

Kelly is a mentor to the girls on “The X Factor” and will be seen talking to Misha B, who has suffered similar emotional problems after being abandoned by her mother as a baby.

“I think it’s important to forgive people and we move on, we have to,” Kelly says on the show.

“The pain is there, of course it will be there, and it’s important to know that forgiveness is the first step towards healing it all.”

Christopher, 65, reached out to Kelly earlier this year, asking for forgiveness and saying he wanted to finally step up and be a father to her.

Giving his account of what happened, he said: “Kelly, I love you with all my heart. Please forgive me and let me be your dad again. I lost my job at a transportation company, sank into a depression about money and began drinking more and more.

The failure to provide for my family fuelled an anger that I will be ashamed of until my dying day. It wasn’t physical between me and Kelly’s mom, but there were many days and nights when Kelly would be bawling her eyes out.

“I really hoped I would get to make it up to her. Sadly I am still waiting for that day. But I can’t give up hope,” he said.

Kelly was happy to hear from her father after so long, but wishes he had been more discreet in trying to contact her. “He reached out to me, saying he wanted to see me but it’s unfortunate he did it so publicly,” she said.

Will Smith Wants $50 Million (and More) for ‘Independence Day’ Sequels

*The truth has come to light about the “Independence Day” sequels. The original blockbuster brought in $817 million and continued to grow in popularity long after its premiere.

And because of its demand, Will Smith is asking for $50 million to be a part of the new films. But that asking price might just keep the actor from appearing in the sci-fi action movies.

Vulture reports that the impasse first came up back in 2009 when Fox began to seriously enter the development phase, but that both parties agreed to wait until the screenplays were completed. The two scripts, which are expected to tell one, two-part story, are due to be completed at the end of the year, bringing Will Smith’s involvement back into the equation.

Although for most of us, a $50 million check is quite ridiculous, it isn’t any different than Johnny Depp’s price tag for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequels, $56 million for Pirates 4.

But it’s been over 16 years since “Independence Day” debuted on the big screen and there’s no telling how much Smith is worth over a decade later.

No final decisions have made to include the movie star, but in the meantime, the script will be divided into two flicks and is to be completed by the end of the year.

Along with the big money Smith is asking for, he’s also requested to film close to home and have his family in the movie as well.

Now, Latifah reveals that she wants to become a mother and has plans to adopt.

"I'm definitely going to adopt or have a child,"

Latifah told More magazine. "I've wanted to adopt since I was 17 or 18 years old."

Latifah also candidly spoke on the death of her brother who died at the age of 24 following a motorcycle accident.

According to reports, the alleged faux marriage has gotten Tyler Perry fans and other former Kardashian followers in an uproar about her role in upcoming film, “The Marriage Counselor.”

Many have protested her being in the movie with little avail. It turns out she’s thru shooting her part in the upcoming film. So angered patrons are proposing to boycott her reality series.

“In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming,” boycott organizer Cyndy Snider said in a statement.

“We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption,” the statement read.

The petition has actually collected over 10,000 signatures.

As the anger rages on, naysayers are pushing for the fall of Ms. Kardashian, proclaiming her fame is nothing more than a sham, an accident since her name didn’t really come up in public until the Ray J sex tapes emerged.

But in all seriousness, aren’t there more important things to sign petitions for? Just saying.

Obviously Mo’Kelly doesn’t agree with Mr. Perry’s stance at all and is letting him and several million other readers know why.
Here’s Morris O’Kelly’s open letter to Tyler Perry:

*Dear Tyler Perry,

I have never been concerned with gaining favor with celebrities or undeservedly denigrating one’s work. I have always prided myself on putting my community first, even when doing so has been unpopular and frankly unappreciated by members of that same community.

So understand that my letter to you is on principle and premise…not personal animus. This comes not from someone who is a fan of “this” or “that” person, but a fan of the community of African-Americans. They come first in all I do.

The problem I personally have with your letter Mr. Perry which offered insight into your decision-making process of casting Kim Kardashian, is that it seeks to weave a disingenuous narrative. You seem to suggest that the sum total story of redemption to be told in Tyler Perry’s The Marriage Counselor holds more weight than the combination of its components.

Untrue.

The issue isn’t whether K.K. is appropriate or whether you Mr. Perry have the right to create as you see fit. Nobody is deluded here. Nothing is going to change from this letter, neither your mind nor your movie. Nevertheless, some things need to be said and placed on the record because the truth doesn’t change and isn’t subject to interpretation. Meaning, the issue I have is that your letter to your fans was an attempt to spin the casting of Kim Kardashian into some higher calling.

That can not pass without a truth check. Again, this isn’t personal, just a matter of principle.

Some people are angry with you because Kim Kardashian receives too much attention as a Black man’s pin up. Some are angry with you because she is not an actress by any stretch of the imagination. Others are displeased that given your high profile movies, an African-American actress in the role means more to your core fan base who made “Tyler Perry” a household name, than fans you may gain by crossing over and dipping into the Reality TV punch bowl. And let’s be honest, many are disturbed that given your kinda-sorta-Christian-themed-message-movies, you are further rewarding an individual whose original claim to fame was a sex tape.

For all who criticize you on this issue, it is some of that. For some, it is all of that. Inevitably, the distaste for Kim Kardashian amongst many African-American women (your core fan base) is real, not imagined. Take considerable care in the underestimation of their angst and the strength of their collective memory.

A common theme in all of your movies is the story of redemption. Even the worst of the worst are worthy of second chances.

Agreed.

But Mr. Perry, you can’t really argue telling the STORY of redemption through use of a promotion vehicle (Kardashian) who presently lives and thrives on irredeemable REAL LIFE behavior. I’d rather see a sermon lived out than hear one, any day of the week. I’d rather see a sermon than one acted out on the silver screen. People who live their creed mean affect more lives than ones who act it out for a paycheck. If you want to truly reach the followers of K.K., seek to change K.K., don’t give her a movie role and then claim you are doing your fans (and her fans) a quasi-Christian favor by doing so. I think we all understand the economics and business strategy here. There is no need to further convolute the issue.

Truth check: Spiritual discernment still trumps spin and specious argumentation.

K.K. wasn’t an actress who “made a mistake” and who now is being granted a second chance. It’s a “mistake” to even characterize her as an actress. Her claim to fame IS the mistake.

And here you are further rewarding it. Truth check.

If your fans are angry with you (and they are); let’s be truthful and honest about the realities of their anger. Let’s not minimize, trivialize or bastardize the nature of their grievances. It’s not that they didn’t “hear you out” or “jumped to conclusions.” You’ve insulted their intelligence by suggesting their anger was misdirected or misinformed in the first place.

Your company is yours to run as you see fit, your brand to build as you choose. Your success thus far is inarguable. None of the aforementioned ensure though that your judgment is infallible. Don’t glue chicken feathers on a chinchilla Saturday night and then try to sell it at KFC as part of a two-piece and biscuit Sunday morning. Don’t insult the collective intelligence of the African-American film community.

You’ve now tied your brand to Kim Kardashian and must now carry all of the baggage that comes with her. The question is not and was not ever whether your loyal fans understood why you chose Kim Kardashian. The question is and continues to be whether you understood what it means to align yourself with Kim Kardashian.

The movie is about an Ivy League-educated marriage counselor named Judith
(Jurnee Smollett),

who doles out advice to others, but has problems with her own marriage. In the film, Kardashian plays Judith’s co-worker Ava, who offers help to Judith as she deals with her personal issues.

Of course, in real life Kardashian is privately coping with her own marriage troubles.

Seems Idris Elba is making some serious moves with his new producer’s hat. While promoting Demons Never Die, a horror film directed by Arjun Rose which he produced that’s being released in UK cinemas on October 28th, the always-busy actor apparently offered a role to former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos in his new upcoming drama Swift.

We told you about Swift, which re-teams Rose and Elba, back in April. The film is described as “a coming of age story set in East London during the run up to the London Olympics” and will feature Elba as a disgraced sports agent.

The synopsis for the film reads:

After witnessing the murder of his father as a child in a drug related shooting, Corey Johnson or “Swift” as he is known on the streets of East London, is destined for a life of crime…. That is until a chance meeting with Max (Idris Elba) a troubled, washed-up sports agent shows him that there is another path… Recognizing Swift’s uncanny ability to run, Max has high hopes of training him to compete at the London Olympics, but Swift’s world won’t let him go without a fight.

Reportedly, Charlize Theron will play an American sportswoman who will go head to head with Tulisa in the film. Tulisa currently co-stars in Demons Never Die as well. Stay tuned for more info on the project. Elba also acts as producer for the webseries Milk and Honey.

*Remember Ryan Leslie made a big to do over his lost or stolen laptop that contained millions of dollars worth of work and private files? He did put out there at one point that he was willing to reward anyone who returned the computer $1 million.

Well after it’s been found and returned, it’s about time the artist paid up.

A man named Armin Augstein said he returned the computer to the singer, but didn’t get his due reward.

So the German hero has filed a lawsuit against the singer in the U.S. District Court in New York.

“It’s unfortunate that my client has to go to such lengths to recover the reward,” Michael Fischman, Augstein’s U.S.-based lawyer, told the media.

With good reason, the German guy is going through all of this for that money. Who wouldn’t?

Last year, after the laptop was stolen, Leslie posted on Skype:

“I lost my computer out here in Germany. I actually had my whole new album on there, which I had been working on in secret, and it got stolen. So right now, I got a million-dollar reward for anybody that can return my intellectual property to me.”

Originally he offered $20,000, but after little to no responses, he upped the prize to an attractive $1 million. He even posted a YouTube video to announce the reward increase.

She also bought a graphic photo book by Ellen von Unwerth, who specializes in erotic feminine images. RiRi was later photographed clutching the book.

The Post reports that a source told the UK paper The Sun that the ‘We Found Love’ singer did not require assistance and knew where to find the items she was looking for, which would seem to indicate that she is super experienced with this type of retail therapy. The source said that a black car was parked on the pavement outside of the shop and that RiRi was grinning and apparently in a rush to get back to her lodging. Perhaps someone was waiting for her at her hotel and that’s who she was shopping for?

The shopping spree lasted all of five minutes. The singer did address this story via Twitter, but not to deny that she was there. She merely disputed her bill and the time frame, posting this tweet, calling out the Post: “this is a lie! 5 mins in a sex shop cud only get u lube! Lol, and that wud be some expensive lube $1500??” TMI, anyone?

RiRi frequents sex shops often. Last March, she was seen at The Tool Shed in Sydney, Australia, reportedly purchasing two bags worth of treats.
